During assembly I noticed the damages to the rattan. Since I was quite far on in the assembly process it was easier to finish rather than dismantle and return this item.
This was a fiddly little assembly. Instructions were OK and all screws, washers and parts were there. It's definitely a 2 person assembly. At times, the rattan can block a bolt hole and at times things don't line up. A little tap with a hammer sorted that. Infuriatingly, one of the bolts cross threaded and as I didn't have any spares, I used a really strong zip cable but shouldn't have had to. There were already a few tiny rust spots on the metal frame so a cover is going to be needed for winter. Very comfy once set up.
Fine once you put it together, but the act of putting it together is an absolute slog.
Nightmare to build, holes don't line up on bits of it and threads on screws poor quality. Took ages to build for these reasons. Nice once built but if your not good at these kind of things would think twice.
